Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund
Each Leadership Development Academy of Rock County participant works with a small group of their fellow class members to plan and execute a collaborative project that addresses a community need. These projects and their results are presented each May and serve as the program's capstone experience.
Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund
To award scholarships for the E-Hub Program, a short-term training program for those who wish to own and operate their own small business.
- Establish an entrepreneur scholarship fund to help Rock County entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses by participating in the E-HUB Program partnered with the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board.
- Offer a program titled, Stepping Up to New Opportunities, which is about a 28-hour course that teaches participants how to write a business plan, secure financing, develop a marketing plan, etc.
- The cost to attend is $500, and the scholarship was aimed at helping those who couldn’t afford to attend the course on their own dollar.
- Goal was to raise a minimum of $10,000 to begin the endowment fund through Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.
